Weekend update

Well It is Monday again to quickly. I love weekends Marc is home to help me with Kayla. I love my time with Kayla though.

Friday we went to dinner with Marc's family and Friends. It was really fun and always good to get out of the house. Saturday we went sledding with Kayla for the first time. She was not so sure and really not so sure when Marc and her went down the hill and hit a rock he landed on top of her she told me that she was done. It took me about a 1/2 an hour to get her to go up half way and go down with me. Than she didn't want to stop. I love winter sports when it isn't freezing outside. It was nice to get some vitamin D and not feel so Cabin feverish. After Sledding we went shopping and than Marc and I got to go on a date. That never happens anymore especially now that the Donor never takes Kayla anymore. Than relaxing Sunday hooray!

That was our weekend in a nutshell.

Today was a little crazy I hate driving in the snow! Kayla had dance today! So about 1 hr and 1/2 before it started I called and asked if they were still having dance. They were like yes we are. so Kayla and I set out for our treck. I went to get Gas and I have to wait by my tank because I have to hold it in or it will fall out. So I am standing there and the snow it hitting me on one side and the wind on the other. When I got in my car I was covered and could not see out of my glasses. It was a site.

After the Gas We drove in the Blizzard to get something to eat. When we were done off to dance we went. We finally Arrived and walked in they had cancled Dance, and had lost my Cell #. So the adventure in the snow didn't even need to happen. I can't wait for spring.

Busy Time

Well I am back to blogging I haven't had anything interesting happen to me lately so I haven't been blogging. I have been running Kayla around and I have a new calling in our ward as Cub scout Wolf Den Leader. I think that this is a mean calling to give someone who grew up with only girls and has only a girl. I have no idea about 8 year old boys and what they like to do this has been a challenge for me. I think that I am finally getting the hang of it!

Kayla has been sick this weekend. We found out that she has Strep and Ear infections. So when this happens her Asthma acts up. Wow the Steroids we have to give her for her Asthma makes her crazy! I finally got her to sleep for a nap today and that is the most sleep we have had in 4 days.

Marc has been super busy with work. I never see him except on the weekends. Even then I have to remind him that it is my days. I am a little selfish when it comes to my husband. I don't like to share him very often.

Other news I was in depression last night. If you don't know I am a huge GreenBay Packers Fan. They lost last night it was a rough Night.

Life is fun I hope that more things will happen so that I can update more often.

Dogs Life

For those that don't know this is our dog Savannah. I was watching her today and thinking wouldn't it be nice to be a dog? Especially our dog she has the life! She sleeps in our room with Marc and me and most of the time it is in our bed. She is in the house all day and gets the run of the house when we are gone. We recently noticed that our dog treat supply was somehow depleting lots faster than we were giving her treats. She has figured out how to open the container and get them out herself. For Christmas my dad received a big bean bag chair from Patti and Pam and now the dog thinks that we have given her a huge bed. The picture above is her in it. I just thought how would it be to sleep all day and not have to do anything and have everyone take care of you!

Twister

As the nights get longer and colder the more creative we become..... This is how we have been spending these cold days lately. Playing games and keeping warm.

We go over to my in-laws almost every Sunday night. Marc's mom works and lives in Arizona for most of the week because she works for Southwest airlines. So Sunday is the one night that we actually get to see her. As we were there Kayla was bored and decided it was time to play games so out came Twister. As you can see it was the adults that played more than Kayla.

I love playing games and spending time with our family!

Back to normal

It seems like that Holiday break is forever until it is over. We are back in the groove of things today! Kayla went back to school and Marc went back to work.

We had a fun New years. We went to Park City for dinner on New Years Eve to a place called Grub Steak. It is a Roethel family tradition to go there. I highly recomend it if you are looking for good steak! After we went to Marc's sister and bro inlaws house for games and fun! It was really relaxing and we had a great time.

I am looking forward to getting back to normal Marc and I have had way to much together time. We are not used to seeing each other that much. I love that we have had lots of family time together.

Happy New Year!

I am so excited for new years! You know I have always had good memories of new years Eve. When we were younger my parents always made it so much fun. We always played games and ate and watched movies. I don't think that we made it to many actual new years we always fell asleep. Or atleast I always did. When we got older we would go out with our friends to first night and ring in the new year with fireworks and fun! I think that for awhile you think that you are supposed to have that new years kiss! There were alot of frogs kissed on New years for me that I remember I am so grateful that I have my prince to kiss now. I know that is cheesy.

I love New Years because that is the day that I also became an aunt. I am so grateful for my Nephews and Neices. I just wanted to wish Brenden a Happy Birthday from aunt Kels.

I am grateful for the New Year in the fact that you can learn from the years past and try to make things better and hopfully not make the same mistakes again.

I hope all of you have a safe and fun New Years!

Christmas

I am so grateful this year for all the fun that we had on Christmas. I am also grateful for the real meaning of Christmas. Kayla I think is learning little by little more and more.

Kayla was probably the funnest this year. she has been so excited she finally gets the Santa thing. She told me after that she was right in asking Santa for everything because that is exactly what she got! I am so glad I was worried. We had a long night the night before though. She has been sick and her asthma flared up and kept us up all night long so Christmas was a very long day for us all. I am happy to report that she is feeling better though.

The day was filled with family and I am so blessed to have such wonderful family. We spent Christmas eve with Marc's family. We went to see Alvin and the Chipmunks( I highly recomend this movie), and we ate yummy soup and enjoyed fun time. We get pajamas from Marc's mom and that is always my favorite present. we get to come home and snuggle in new comfy PJ's.

Christmas morning we open presents then we went back to Marc's parents house and opened more gifts (we are way to spoiled). After we went to grandmas which we love because I get to see all my fun cousins. I missed my cousins in Washington this year but it isn't easy to fly home every year and do Christmas too. I am sure that it gets expensive. After Grandmas we came back home with all my family and got spoiled even more!

I can't believe how lucky we are and how much we have. I am grateful that at this time of year we are able to really help people who aren't as lucky.

It was a great year and I am so grateful for all that has happened this year. I am looking forward to a new year and hopefully getting into our own house. I hope that all of you can look back and be grateful for the little unexpected things that made this year great!
