Happy New Year!

I am so excited for new years! You know I have always had good memories of new years Eve. When we were younger my parents always made it so much fun. We always played games and ate and watched movies. I don't think that we made it to many actual new years we always fell asleep. Or atleast I always did. When we got older we would go out with our friends to first night and ring in the new year with fireworks and fun! I think that for awhile you think that you are supposed to have that new years kiss! There were alot of frogs kissed on New years for me that I remember I am so grateful that I have my prince to kiss now. I know that is cheesy.

I love New Years because that is the day that I also became an aunt. I am so grateful for my Nephews and Neices. I just wanted to wish Brenden a Happy Birthday from aunt Kels.

I am grateful for the New Year in the fact that you can learn from the years past and try to make things better and hopfully not make the same mistakes again.

I hope all of you have a safe and fun New Years!

Christmas

I am so grateful this year for all the fun that we had on Christmas. I am also grateful for the real meaning of Christmas. Kayla I think is learning little by little more and more.

Kayla was probably the funnest this year. she has been so excited she finally gets the Santa thing. She told me after that she was right in asking Santa for everything because that is exactly what she got! I am so glad I was worried. We had a long night the night before though. She has been sick and her asthma flared up and kept us up all night long so Christmas was a very long day for us all. I am happy to report that she is feeling better though.

The day was filled with family and I am so blessed to have such wonderful family. We spent Christmas eve with Marc's family. We went to see Alvin and the Chipmunks( I highly recomend this movie), and we ate yummy soup and enjoyed fun time. We get pajamas from Marc's mom and that is always my favorite present. we get to come home and snuggle in new comfy PJ's.

Christmas morning we open presents then we went back to Marc's parents house and opened more gifts (we are way to spoiled). After we went to grandmas which we love because I get to see all my fun cousins. I missed my cousins in Washington this year but it isn't easy to fly home every year and do Christmas too. I am sure that it gets expensive. After Grandmas we came back home with all my family and got spoiled even more!

I can't believe how lucky we are and how much we have. I am grateful that at this time of year we are able to really help people who aren't as lucky.

It was a great year and I am so grateful for all that has happened this year. I am looking forward to a new year and hopefully getting into our own house. I hope that all of you can look back and be grateful for the little unexpected things that made this year great!

Christmas Vacation

I am so scared to go tomorrow! We will be at the airport bright and early 5 a.m. I forgot that time even existed. But I think that we will be fine getting to Dallas it is getting home in time for Christmas that worries me. I told my mom where Santa hid all of Kaylas presents I just hope that it doesn't come to that. I think that it will be a fun little get away for me and Marc. I hope that Kayla is good for all of her sitters. Especially aunt Patti and Uncle Bry. Well just a little note that you will pray for me to get back safe.

Zoo Lights

So we went to the zoo lights last night. We had alot of fun. It was freezing cold. I love seeing Kayla get excited about things like the lights. I am trying my hardest to make this a great Christmas for her. I always do this though I try and make it bigger than it is going to be. I think that she always has a good time but I build it up in my head and than have a let down when the actual day comes.

I love that we spend time together though and that we have tons of fun as our little family. Kayla is so funny she says things lately that I have no idea where she heard them before.

So marc and I are going to Texas on Wednesday. I think that it is horrible timing for an event like this to happen a week before Christmas. Marc thinks that it is great. For his work they have what they call reunion where all the salesman across the U.S. get together and get awards for the years achievments. Well this is our second year and I know what to expect this year ; I know that it will be fun but it is the worry of getting everything ready before we leave. The other bad thing is that we are flying stand by the weekend before Christmas I think that we are crazy!

I finally finished Christmas shopping. I am so happy that it is over! Hooray! Santa is welcome to come to our house now! I hope that all of you are ready and have a great week ahead.

Santa

Well this was our ward Christmas party! We had lots of fun and we even got to see Santa. The guy playing santa was an old bishop of ours from when we were growing up. He is really annoying and had nicknames for Patti, Pam and I. Well as we were there he had to tell all of our children our nicknames and they all thought that it was so funny. Bridger of course won't stop calling Patti hers which is Patticakes. he thinks it is so funny that Santa called his mom Patticakes. He called Pam Pambam and me Kelligirl. He used to think that he was so funny and I guess that he still does.

Snow Days

I love snow days! MaKayla really loves them. We woke up this morning and my Dad was already out shovelling the walks. Kayla saw that it was snowing still and instantly went and put on her snow clothes. within 10 minutes Kayla and my Dad had built a snowman. If you ask her though it is a snow girl named MaKayla. She says that it looks just like her.

I think that she is right. Just like her. The Hat is my favorite part adds a little bit of summer to the Winter. I hope that all of you are enjoying the snow!

Getting ready for Christmas

So this week we have been getting ready for the Holidays by decorating our house. Even though I love when it is done I hate doing it. I have to say that I was lucky as I have been called to the scouts in our ward I got out of decorating the tree. In all reality I missed the whole thing because my mom is very particular in where things go in the house. I did however help put the lights outside. I hold them while my dad puts them up it is a team effort.

I think that I just have a bad attitude lately about the Holidays. It is such a pain when you have to decide between families when you are married... as this has happened to us this year both families have been very vocal about the time we spend with them. So because of this there will be no resting on Christmas we will be running from house to house to house.

I also am going out of town the week before Christmas and hopefully making it home intime for Christmas as we are flying stand by from Texas on the 22 of Dec. who does that? Yep me and Marc. He has a work thing that we will be attending. it is a very fun event, but there is so much that I will miss because of us going.

I love Christmas and I love seeing Kayla get excited I just can't wait till I am all ready. I hope that you are all ready and that you get to enjoy the holidays.
